Little Grey And Little White Are Back In The Sea!

Little Grey and Little White, are now safely in their new sea sanctuary care area inside the beluga sanctuary at Klettsvik Bay in Iceland.

These trailblazing beluga whales will need a short period of time in the care area of the bay so that they can get used to their new sea environment and all the natural outdoor weather conditions, sights and sounds.

It won’t be long now until they will be able go ahead and explore the whole sanctuary in Klettsvik Bay in the Westman Islands off the south coast of Iceland.

The expert team including vets were with Little Grey and Little White throughout the move to the sea and said they are healthy and are feeding well after the short trip from their landside care facility.

This is the first time Little Grey and Little White have been in the sea since they were taken from a Russian whale research centre in 2011. We will let you know when the final exciting stage takes place for Little Grey and Little White and they are able to explore the whole of their new ocean home.
