Wild Dolphins Is Launched!

Three, two, one…go!

On 23rd June, Wild Dolphins, a huge tourism project in Aberdeen, Scotland, was launched!

Around 50 life-sized, adult sculptures of bottlenose dolphins – a species often spotted off Aberdeen’s coast – have popped up all over the city to form a trail for local people and tourists alike. They have also been joined by over 30 baby dolphin sculptures which have been beautifully decorated by school children and are on display in libraries along the trail, and at our Scottish Dolphin Centre.

Mile End School in AberdeenWild Dolphins has been organised by WDC along with and the ARCHIE Foundation at the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital, and events company Wild in Art.

The trail will be up until the end of August, before the large ones are auctioned to raise money for WDC and ARCHIE.
