Dolphin Bites Girl At Sea World

A captive dolphin waiting for foodA captive dolphin at Sea World has bitten an 8-year-old girl who was feeding the dolphins fish.

Jillian Thomas was on a visit to the dolphin cove in Orlando with her family when one of the captive dolphins lunged up and grabbed her, puncturing her arm in three places.

Her mum and dad were shocked at what happened and posted footage of Jillian being bitten to warn other people about the risk. "Everyone just imagines dolphins as smiling, non-biting animals with knobby teeth. You forget these are wild animals" said her mum.

WDC believes dolphins should be wild and free, not held captive in small pools and tanks.
