Icelandic restaurants serving whale meat

If you are visiting Iceland, please make sure that you are not inadvertently putting money into the whalers' pockets by visiting one of the restaurants listed below that serves whale meat.

If you are visiting a restaurant that is not on this list, please keep your eyes open for any signs that whale meat is on the menu. If you do find a venue serving whale meat that is not on our list, please let us know. In addition, if you find that a restaurant on the list has closed, or if it has stopped or started serving whale meat, please let us know that as well. We also welcome input from the restaurant industry in Iceland.

We will make every effort to keep the list as up to date as possible (last update April 2013), recognising that the nature of the restaurant business is such that there is a great deal of turnover and change. The list will continue to evolve, and we thank those of you who have already sent in information after visiting Iceland.
