Conservation And Research Projects
With so many vulnerable groups of whales and dolphins around the world, identifying where to spend our energy and money is a critical part of our work.Whilst all whales and dolphins are important some groups stand out for particular attention – perhaps because they are acutely endangered, or because they play an important role in the lives of local people, acting as ambassadors for whole ecosystems.
Our conservation and research projects focus on not only key species, but also threatened populations - geographically, or genetically distinct groups of animals, which if driven to extinction could not be replaced.
You can find out more about many of our projects below or read our Introduction to International Field Projects to discover more about the background to our work.
