Norway Runs Out Of Customers

So as Norway's negotiators are sat in the IWC meeting in Portugal gambling on getting the IWC to further open up commercial whaling (yes the meeting is in a Casino) its whalers have had to stop whaling this year because no one wants to buy their whale meat.

Fiskeribladetfiskaren reports that bout 360 -370 whales will be taken in this year’s hunt and the hunt will end up with about 60 or 70 animals less than last year. the whalers have said it's one of the worst years in over 15 years of recent whaling.

WDCS and WWF have just published a report on the unsustaiability of Norways whaling and WDCS feels vindicated by this news.
