Whaling Battle Continues

Norway's NRK news is reporting that less than one month after the sinking of its boat the Ady Gil, another Sea Shepherd vessel has been rammed by a Japanese whaling vessel.  No crew members were injured when the "Bob Barker" was hit by one of the Japanese vessels as it tried to intervene in whaling operations in Antarctica.  Although some damage was sustained by the Bob Barker,  a spokesperson for the activist group said that they plan on staying with the fleet in order to continue their campaign against the Nisshin Maru and Japan's other whaling vessels.  It will be joined by the organization's flagship vessel, the Steve Irwin.

The altercation comes in the same week that Japan's Minister of Fisheries alluded to a possible deal at the International Whaling Commisison that would allow for continued Japanese whaling.
