Danish Press Calls For Reassessment Of Danish Pro-whaling Position

The Copenhagen Post today has called for a reassessment of Denmark's unwavering support of Greenlandic whaling and for Denmark to join its EU allies by standing aside and letting Greenland fight its own battles.

The Post report calls for Greenland to have an independent seat at the IWC, saying,  Normally, the process of negotiation involves identifying your interests, stating your demands and fighting for the best compromise possible.

But in Denmark’s case, negotiating to expand Greenland’s whaling quotas is more a matter of finding a way to do the least possible damage to its reputation. More from the Post
