Dolphins Kidnapped In Indonesia
Mystery surrounds two bottlenose dolphins held in unsuitable conditions at a restaurant in Bali that have been kidnapped shortly after the Indonesian government had agreed to release them back into the wild.
Indonesia's Forestry Minister had agreed to free the dolphins from the Akame restaurant in response to pressure from opponents concerned about their welfare.
The dolphins were to be confiscated by the government and moved to a rehabilitation centre in Kemujan, Karimun Jawa, before being released back into the wild. However, the two dolphins have disappeared and WDC fears that they may return to a travelling circus in Central Java.
