Unless otherwise stated, events are free (donations gratefully received) with a variety of activities to suit all ages. All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear appropriate clothing to match weather conditions, respect the local wildlife and be prepared to have lots of fun!

Kingston Community Litter Sweep
Every month local people help to keep the Spey Bay reserve beautiful by sweeping the west side of the reserve for litter. If you would like to help out, please contact the ranger for more information. 01343 820339.

Monday 6th May 10:30am – 4:30pm
Really Wild Festival
Join us at the Scottish Dolphin Centre and on the Scottish Wildlife Trust reserve for a fun filled day celebrating the wild side of Spey Bay! This event will be packed with fun, interactive activities for all ages; including land based dolphin watching, guided walks, competitions, traditional music, food from Scotland's larder, local produce, entertainment and much more. Donations welcome. Parking at Spey Bay Golf Club, £2 per car. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Friday 10th May 7-9pm
Water of Life Guided Walk
The River Spey is central to the lives of many plants, animals and even people. Join us on a walk along the meandering banks of the river to discover some of the secrets of the Spey and the life it supports. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Booking is essential.

Saturday 18th May 5-7am
Dawn Chorus Walk
Get up with the lark and start the day with a difference! Join us on an early morning stroll, experience the chorus of songbirds and help us to count the number of species on the reserve before coming back to the centre for a well-earned breakfast. Adults £3, children £2, SWT members £2 (including refreshments). Booking is essential.

Animal Tracks and Signs Guided Walk
Hone your tracking skills and find out about the more secretive inhabitants of Spey Bay on this guided evening walk. Booking is essential. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear and bring binoculars if you have them.

Alien Invasion Guided Walk and Activity
The aliens are invading! Join us on an evening walk to find out more about the aliens in our midst and to help us halt the spread of invasive species. Booking is essential. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Gloves will be provided.

Spend a wild afternoon in Spey Bay, learning to live off the land! Build shelters, make fire and forage for wild foods with the Spey Bay ranger. £2 per child. Booking is essential. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Saturday 27th July 10-12pm
Wader Wander
Join us on a morning wander around the Spey estuary for a chance to spot some of the reserve’s fantastic bird life and an opportunity to brush up on your wader ID. Meet in birdwatchers car park, next to the estuary in Kingston. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear and bring binoculars if you have them.

Halloween Lantern Making
Transform a glass jar into a spooky lantern, ready for Halloween. Please bring your own glass jar, large enough to fit a tealight inside and we will provide everything else that you need! Drop in sessions between 10am-12pm and 2-4pm. £2 per child. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Saturday 26th October 6 – 7:30pm
Halloween Horrors Party
Ghastly ghouls, devilish demons and spooky spectres await you in the Ice House. There will be games, music, fancy dress and pumpkin soup so come along and join the fun! £2 per child. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Booking is essential.
